Video Gait Analysis
Video gait analysis is an advanced body movement analysis that provides assistance in assessing and diagnosing complex motion-related pathologies of the foot, ankle, knee, hip, and lower back.
The stages of the human gait cycle and the details of its motion are impossible to examine and review with the naked eye. Through video gait analysis, the cycle can be broken down into tiny segments, frame by frame, allowing podiatrists to carefully assess the foot position, foot and leg function, and overall posture.
Entirely Health uses this world-class and integrated software in manipulating images obtained to determine kinematic angulations of the leg, ankle, and foot. Our friendly team will explain to you what we’re exactly seeing on video and how that may contribute to any pain or body problem you’re experiencing.
Diabetic Footcare
Diabetic footcare is necessary to ensure a stable foot and lower limb health. Diabetic Australia has been recommending patients to have an annual visit to their podiatrist to reassess their foot health status. It is noted that diabetic patients who fail to follow their treatment plan encounter issues in the foot and lower limb areas in many ways. If left untreated, these problems may evolve into something much more serious and harmful.
Some cases of patients who are experiencing more mild symptoms are said to have been affected by dryness and tingling in the toe area. More serious issues derived from the impacted circulatory system and the lower limb nerves can include peripheral vascular disease (PVD), peripheral neuropathy or numbness in the foot and lower limb area, and immunodeficiency disorders. Lack of sensation in the sole region can further lead to neuropathic ulceration.
Taking all that in consideration, our friendly and qualified podiatrists here in Entirely Health make sure that you are well-taken care of by performing calculations on the sensation, circulation, and biomechanics to see to it that you are taking the right precautions.
Footwear Assessments
Here at Entirely Health, we are able to accurately recommend the type of shoe for our patients by using digital gait analysis. Selecting the right shoe for you makes a huge impact in reducing and preventing pain. In light of this, our podiatrists take foot function and shape into consideration in achieving a correct fit for you. You can bring your current footwear to your next appointment and we will be happy to explain and discuss your footwear needs with you.
